Silver City Brewery Celebrates winning 3 medals at the 2012 World Beer Cup.
Silverdale,WA–May 8, 2012– Silver City Brewery, the Kitsap Peninsula, Washington’s premier Award winning brewery are excited to announce our results from 2012’s World beer Cup. In all Silver City Brews were awarded 3 medals, 1 Gold, 1 Silver, & 1 Bronze. Silver City Imperial Stout won gold in the American Imperial Stout Category. Silver City Winter Bock won Silver in the Traditional Bock category. Old Scrooge Christmas Ale won the Bronze in the Old Ale/Strong Ale category.
In response to learning the results Big Daddy had this to say. “It feels great to be recognized in such an elite arena as the World Beer Cup and makes me so proud of the team we have.” Don added that “I’m most proud of the consistency & continuity in which we continue to garner accolades such as these that allow us to be mentioned amongst some of the best breweries in the World”.SilverCityCo-owner Scott Houmes added “Our brew team never ceases to amaze me with their stellar performances. Although Winter Bock, Old Scrooge Christmas Ale & Imperial Stout are all winter time releases there will be a limited opportunity to try them when the new Silver City Brewery Taproom opens Wednesday May 16th at 3pm. All three will be on tap until there are gone for the year. Winter Bock will return late October 2012, Old Scrooge returns late Thanksgiving week 2012, & Imperial Stout returns January 2013. All three will be available on draft & in 22oz bottles around the Puget Sound.
