North Jetty Brewing – Roggen (Rye) Bier is a specialty German rye beer originally brewed in Regensburg, Bavaria. It is a tasty, nuanced brew filled with spicy rye flavors reminiscent of pumpernickel bread. The bitterness is medium to low which allows the initial malt sweetness to be tasted before the rye and yeast characters take over. Fermented with Weihenstephaner yeast at cooler temperatures, aromas of clove and banana prevail. Our version has a malt bill of Rye, Pale, Munich, Chocolate Rye and Melanoidin Malts and is complimented by Hallertau Mittelfrueh hops. #meetmeatthejetty and enjoy this little trek in to beer history!
