Black Raven Brewing – A New Bird On the Block: Flock Party Anniversary Pale Ale
Redmond, WA- In May of 2009 we took flight with a simple mission: to brew beer that we wanted to drink and to not limit ourselves to style guidelines or conform to the folks who wanted to tell us how we “should” brew beer. Nearly seven years later, we are still pushing boundaries and categories with this refreshing and adventurous pale ale. The newest member of our Blackfeather Series is named in honor of our eponymous Flock Party celebration which occurs annually the first Saturday of May. Flock Party will be available in 22oz bottles and draft at select retailers across Washington state. Everyone is invited to the Party – all you have to do is take a sip!
About Flock Party Anniversary Pale Ale:
Pale Ale? Sure. Use some wheat, rye, and oats? Love that. Hop with Summit, Palisade and Super Galena but keep the bitterness low? Aroma-tastic. Add copious amounts of Mandarins, Oranges and Tangerines on the hot side of the brew? Here we go. Recirculate through Acacia wood and Dekapon mandarin peels over two days post-fermentation? Now it’s a Black Raven beer, whatever it takes to cram this much sunshine into a beer. How does it taste? The wheat, rye and oats add a complex mouthfeel to balance strong citrus pith bitter notes. Huge mandarin and orange flavor cascade throughout and play with the hops from first sniff to finish. Sharp and clean. ABV: 6.5% IBU: 36
Flock Party Anniversary Pale Ale joins our Blackfeather Series which includes Kitty Kat Blues Pale Ale, Beaktweaker Citrus IPA, and Festivus Holiday Pale Ale.
