The Swiss Restaurant and Pub – Pump Up The Jam for Kate!
Join for a fundraiser at The Swiss Pub on Sunday, October 21st, from 4-8pm. The Fabulous CANDY SHOPPE will play your favorite dance tunes from 5-7pm to keep the party festive. We have fun surprises up our sleeves, and RAINY DAZE has generously donated a keg of KATE’S PALE ALE with all proceeds going towards the campaign!
The raffle winners will be chosen at 7pm. We will have an assortment of great gifts, as well as an original art piece from Miss Kate Sage herself! Suggested donation of $10, with raffle tickets available for $5 each, or 5 for $20.
As a Diabetic, Kate’s health is always on her mind as a matter of survival. A few months ago, she was able to switch from insulin injections to the pump system. The Insulin pump delivers rapid- or short-acting insulin 24 hours a day through a catheter placed under the skin. This was a game changer, and we watched her anxiety decrease and her health improve! Although Kate works full time and keeps a modest lifestyle, she was not able to afford this life saving technology and has had to go back on injections. Last week, her blood sugar fluctuated between 40-400 in the matter of a few hours. This is dangerous, and grossly unfair. We are scared for Kate, furious with the system that would keep this good woman down, and called upon to do something to help!
We are determined to raise the money to help Kate get her health and her life back on track!
