2016 marks the twentieth anniversary of Silver City Brewery. To commemorate the occasion, we present our 20th Anniversary Series of beer releases. Some are vintage throwback recipes harkening back to our original, launch lineup. Others are recipes of the future, yet inspired by our past.
MacFarlane’s Scotch Ale is the first of our 20th Anniversary series releases for 2016. In the fall of 1996, Silver City opened with MacFarlane’s Scotch Ale as part of the original line-up. With Scottish lineage & history in mind, this peaty, malt-forward beer was a craft pioneer for the style and a precursor to today’s Fat Scotch Ale.
