Old Scrooge Christmas Ale
The recent Gold Medal winner at The Great American Beer Festival® 2015 (Old Ale / Strong Ale), is now available at Silver City Brewery Taproom; Silver City Restaurant & Ale House; and bars, restaurants, and retail locations throughout Western Washington.
Intriguing notes of apple, cherry, and apricot abound from the long boil time, cool fermentation, and extended aging of this dark, malty ale. Celebrate this year’s release & save some for next, as this beer matures wonderfully when cellared.
Old Scrooge Christmas Ale is available on draft and in 22oz bottles.
Silver City is proud to announce the return of the highly-limited, Bourbon Barrel-Aged variant of Old Scrooge on November 19th. Aged in single-use Kentucky Bourbon barrels since last Christmas, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Old Scrooge includes dimensions of warming bourbon and wood. Subtle layers of oak, candied fruit, and vanilla waft to the nose, while the rich malt character of the beer bonds with the whiskey notes of the barrel.
This rarity will be initially available in limited quantities at Silver City Brewery Taproom on November 19th at precisely 2pm. It will also be available at Silver City Restaurant & Ale House and specialty bottle shops in Western Washington. With the 2015 release, Bourbon Barrel Aged Old Scrooge will debut its all-new packaging, in 500ml bottles with a pearlescent, foil finished label.
