Blimey That’s Bitter! returns Feb. 6
Join us at the taproom on Saturday, Feb. 6 for the annual release of our triple IPA, Blimey That’s Bitter! Blimey will be on tap along with some special cask and randall options. We’ll also have a limited number of 22oz bottles and Blimey That’s Bitter! t-shirts. The Burgerphenia food truck will be with us to provide tasty food as well.
Blimey won’t be available in growlers, due to the low yield from this hop thirsty brew.
We also made a new batch of Gobsmacked IPA, which we first brewed in March 2015 for Brouwer’s Café’s 10th anniversary. We’ll have a limited number of 22oz bottles available on a first-come/first-served basis.
Please remember – Blimey and Gobsmacked are best enjoyed fresh to get the hop aromatics and flavor at their peak!
Originally created for the inaugural Washington Hop Mob event back in 2014, Blimey is packed with Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra hops. It promises an intense citrus, pine and tropical aroma followed by a smooth, medium-full mouth feel. This brew has become a favorite for IPA drinkers – and it’s a big one. Blimey comes in at 10.5 percent ABV and 80 IBUs. Being the hop heads we are, we wanted to increase the nose over prior years so we doubled the third dry hop over prior years. This brew now comes in at almost 7lbs of hops per barrel
