2015 Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout release on Dec. 19
The wait is nearly over! Our 2015 Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout will be released at noon on Saturday, Dec. 19 in the taproom. It’s slightly later than last year due to timing around when we opened the new brewery, but the beer is ready! Bottles of BBIS will be available only in the taproom on a first-come/first-served basis. On December 19 it will be available on draft, along with limited amounts of prior year vintages and the base beer will also be available. Once we know the exact yield we’ll announce the bottle limit, but we anticipate a limit of between 2 to 4 bottles per person, per day. We were able to brew 50% more than last year so we’re hoping that eases pressure on the limits, but we want to make sure we have enough to go around.
Additionally, as we sampled each barrel of BBIS to get a feel for the blend, we found that one barrel was exceptional by itself. Impeccably balanced, rich, and smooth. So rather than blend it into this years BBIS we decided to keep it separate! This special unblended version, Barrel 7 named after the barrel, will also be available in 22 oz bottles. We’re excited to show people what this one specific barrel was like. Limit one bottle per person, per day.
