26 years ago one of the best selling beers for the McMenamins Empire the Ruby ale was born. A tasty Raspberry fruit beer that has made the rounds on many a beer blog site as to is this a good, bad, ugly or for me a totally great beer. Yes I said it I love this beer. Sure it is a fruit beer but it has all the qualities I love in a refreshing easy to drink session beer.
Ruby History –
It was Batch #67 at the Hillsdale Brewery & Public House, first BrewedMarch 21, 1986. It was originally an extract brew and then the recipe was converted when McMenamins went to all-grain.
