Robinson Brewing Trooper AleIron Maiden’s Trooper Ale received U.S. label approval for 500ml bottles and draft last month and will hit the States by the end of July.

The beer is produced by Robinsons Brewery in the UK and will be imported to the U.S. through Artisanal Imports. Robinsons also imports the Old Tom beer brand to the U.S..

Artisanal Imports’ Lanny Hoff tells BeerPulse that the plan is to keep the beer stocked full-time and that the response from trade partners has been unbelievable.

Trooper Ale debuted in the UK and elsewhere in Europe earlier this spring though it experienced some hangups in Sweden before eventually making its way there.

Many breweries have created Iron Maiden-inspired beer brands though this is the first ‘official’ beer of the brewery. Ninkasi Maiden the Shade is a popular example out of Oregon.

Per Wikipedia, “Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, east London in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. The band’s discography has grown to thirty-seven albums, including fifteen studio albums, eleven live albums, four EPs, and seven compilations.”
