The Hop Courage Great American Homebrew Contest is a sanctioned AHA/BJCP Sanctioned competition rewarding America’s finest homebrewers and going to benefit the Beer Autism Hope Movment, a cause that gives back to the autism community as well as charitable causes with the craft brewing community – Hop Courage is a homebrewing contest of EPIC proportions!
WHAT IS HOP COURAGE
With world-class craft beer partners including Rogue, All About Beer Magazine and more, The Hop Courage Great American Homebrew Contest rewards the nations finest homebrewers with feedback from top-tier judges and gives incredible awards and prizes including cash prizes, premium brewing equipment, beer gear, national press coverage and the grand prize – a trip for 2 to visit Rogue in Oregon where the winner will visit Rogues’s headquarters, Newport brewery on the Pacific ocean, Rogue’s hop farm, meet brewing legend John Meier and brew your winning recipe with a Rogue brewer! Did we mention the winning homebrew will go on tap at Rogue’s legendary Green Dragon Pub in Portland, OR!?
RULES
The Hop Courage Great American Homebrew Contest is open to everyone. Teams of three or more are not permitted (two person teams are allowed.) Participants must register online and submit 3 bottles. Participants may submit one brew per category. The top rated brew in each of the 28 BJCP categories will advance to the best overall finals and eligible for the grand prize.
- Registration will be online with a $25 early registration fee. All entries must be registered via the online application.
- Early Registration $25 (Sept 24 – Oct 31)
- Standard Registration $30 (Nov 1 – Jan 31)
- Late Registration $35 (Feb 1 – March 10)
- Participants may submit one brew per category. Each brew is a separate entry and a separate entry fee will apply (Additional entries fees are $10 per brew.)
- All submissions must be received on site by March 18.
- Judging will be held on March 21 in Los Angles and will use a scorecard system.Hop Courage website
