Flying Dog Brewery this fall came out with some terrific new brews. Brewhouse Rarity Hoppy American Wheat and the Single Hop Galaxy Imperial IPA.
From Flying Dog – Brewhouse Rarity Hoppy American Wheat : The experimental doesn’t always require using obscure ingredients or unearthing ancient beer styles. For our Hoppy American Wheat Ale, the goal was to develop a wheat beer that was not dominated by the yeast strain. Instead, this refreshing, late summer release has dominant tropical fruit hops notes of mango, papaya, and pineapple alongside the creamy wheat character we all know and love.
Single Hop Galaxy Imperial IPA: You call that a hop? THIS is a hop. Developed and grown solely in Australia, Galaxy hops impart distinctive grapefruit and passionfruit character from when the beer first greets the nose until the last of it lingers on the palate.
