Like Hendrix and The Who at Monterey, or Nirvana and Sonic Youth on tour, some bands you can’t help but think of together. Some beers go together just that way, too, like Dayglow IPA and Superfuzz Blood Orange Pale Ale from Elysian Brewing in Seattle. And now they’re back, a fabulous reissued double album, in stores and on draft beginning in April (Superfuzz) and May (Dayglow).
Dayglow made its Manic IPA debut last year around this time, with the jingle jangle of Mosaic and Eldorado hops–definitely hummable. Superfuzz has been a beer you can dance to for a few years now, with Washington Citra and Amarillo hops trading licks with blood orange puree and peel. Both beers got standing ovations all over Elysian country, and this year the venues are even larger. Expect to see both Daygow and Superfuzz soon.
