Portland, Ore. – On Saturday, Dec. 20, Ecliptic Brewing will release its first barrelaged beer, the Orange Giant Barleywine. Finding its inspiration in the upcoming solstice, Ecliptic’s Orange Giant Barleywine will bring warmth to the chilly winter days.

“All of us at the brewery have been looking forward to the awakening of our Orange Giant,” said John Harris, owner and brewmaster at Eclipitc. “After spending 10 months in 12yearold bourbon barrels, this barleywine packs a big punch.”About BarrelAged Orange Giant Barleywine Like the blazing giant stars that inspire it, Orange Giant is truly massive. Three malts and copious amounts of Chinook and Nugget hops impart a creamy malt profile and resin hop character to the beer.

About Ecliptic Brewing
Ecliptic Brewing is a venture from John Harris, an Oregon beer icon whose background is steeped in the state’s rich craft brewing history. The name Ecliptic unites Harris’ two passions: brewing and astronomy, and as such, the brewery celebrates the Earth’s yearly journey around the sun through both its beer and restaurant menus.
