4TH ANNUAL BEER FOR A CURE WINNER
Tom Radzazki wins first place at Dick’s Brewing’s 4th Annual Beer for a Cure
CENTRALIA, WA – A new goal was met at this year’s 4th Annual Beer for a Cure! Dick’s Brewing raised over $5,700 for American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Lewis County on September 20, 2014. Over 200 guests were in attendance to support the fundraiser and bid on silent auction and raffle items, including the super raffle of two Seahawks theater style chairs. The brewery had over 65 homebrew entries this year, awarding five top winners in the blind judging competition.
Tom Rzadzki took home the top prize with a Black Rye IPA, and he also won fifth place. Tom will brew his winning batch on Dick’s Brewing system. The brewery will hold a release party for Tom’s beer and have the Black Rye IPA on tap at the brewery Tasting Room and NW Sausage & Deli. We would like to congratulate Phillip Gamroth, Ron Swena and Gordon Medley for winning second, third and fourth place respectively. Thank you to all the brewers, donors, volunteers and attendees who participated in this year’s Beer for a Cure. It was a huge success! |
Dick’s Brewing will be celebrating their 20th Anniversary party on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 3 – 9 pm. We hope you can join us to usher in our 20th birthday, as well as continue to celebrate the beers we have loved for the last 20 years. The brewery will also be raising a pint of Dick’s Midnight Ride in honor of Founder, Dick Young. Proceeds from the evening will be dedicated to Pope’s Kids Place in Centralia, WA in memory of Dick. We will have live music from the Backfire Band, food and raffle prizes. It will be an evening to remember! Cheers to 20 years!
