From American Brewing:
American Brewing Selected for SAVOR 2012
American Brewing Company’s owner, Neil Fallon, is heading back to Washington D.C.!
We are so proud to announce that we were chosen to participate in SAVOR 2012. Billed as the nation’s premiere beer and food pairing event, it will be held on June 8-9 at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C.
A Brewers Association event, SAVOR participants are chosen via a lottery system. 160 breweries entered the lottery and 60 were chosen from eight geographic regions in theU.S. In addition to those chosen through the lottery there will be 14 supporting and sponsor breweries. All will be serving their finest beers alongside a fantastic menu designed by Chef Adam Dulye of the Monk’s Kettle in San Francisco and a select group of chefs specializing in beer and food pairings.
The menu pairing for our beer is:
• Breakaway IPA – Citrus cured salmon, grapefruit, pistachio cream cheese
• Caboose Oatmeal Stout – Coconut Macaroon, whipped creme fraiche, lemon zest
In addition, Neil will be arriving a day early to participate in a Government Affairs Hill Climb and then attend an American Craft Beer/Brewers Association Reception on Capitol Hill. Meetings have been arranged for brewers and owners to meet with their respective congressional delegates during the Hill Climb and then to later meet on a more informal basis during the reception that night, where Neil will be pouring our beer as well. Typical attendance at this “informal” evening is around 700-800 people.
