It came to me the other day am I writing about beer or someone else doing all the work as I was just passing along information. Don’t get me wrong every ounce of information was great to pass along. However, it was not what intended this site to be.
So, beginning today more writing from myself about life in beer. Reviews of barley pops, places and events. From time to time press releases from breweries that have something fun to share. The passion for the Barley Pops started over 15 years ago. Beer Dad at first then morphed to BrewDad within months and well we know the rest. I have been to several hundred festivals and tasted thousands of beers and drank at well over 400+ breweries.
Can you remember the very first Craft Beer you ever tried? Myself, it was back in 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah – Squatters Brewing was brand new and I had to try this new dark beer – Captain Bastards Oatmeal Stout. It was like I had found an elixir of total goodness. (Look out passion/collector in me) My first growler was also bought here. I just remember how odd you can take a full glass container away from the brewery. Such a unique experience. Thus, the start for a passion of finding great beer.
From Squatters Web Site-
