Today Ninkasi Brewing announces a collaboration on a whole new scale. In partnership with the amateur rocketeer group CSXT (Civilian Space eXploration Team), we will be sending 16 strains of brewer’s yeast up into space, with the hope that the yeast returns to Earth healthy and ready to brew with! The project, deemed NSP (the Ninkasi Space Program), will take flight this month.
Is this idea a bit crazy? Yes. Has it been done before? Not yet!
