Alaskan Brewing Releases: Kicker Session India Pale Ale
Kicker Session India Pale Ale
Inspired by 24 hours of daylight, Kicker Session IPA is an anytime brew with fruity Citra and Amarillo hops and a burst of bright citrus Simcoe hop aroma.
Flavor
The hop-dominant flavor and aroma might make you think this is a “bigger” beer, but the drinkable, thirst-quenching attributes of Kicker are enhanced by a lower alcohol content. A light caramel or toffee malt background and light to medium body mouth feel make this session ale a satisfying brew. The aroma delivers a bright hop aroma of citrus, such as grapefruit and tangerine, with a light malt backbone. The hop flavors can be truly fruity, with tangerine and strawberry notes coming from Citra and Amarillo, and a grapefruit and pine taste from Simcoe and Mosaic hops.
Ingredients
Alaskan Kicker Session IPA is made from glacier-fed water and a generous blend of Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops, and premium two-row specialty malts. Our water originates in the 1,500 square-mile Juneau Ice Field and the more than 90 inches of rainfall we receive each year.
