This is a great competition and if you are a homebrewer and want to judge your brews with some of the best brewers up in Alaska this is a great comp to send to. The swag they send back is also some of the best.
The date of this year’s E.T. Barnette Homebrew Competition has been set.
The 17th Annual E.T. Barnette Homebrew
Competition will take place on July 20, 2013.
The seven categories that will be judged this year are: European Amber Lager (3A-B), English Pale Ale (8A-C), American Ale (10A-C), Porter (12A-C), Stout (13A-F), IPA (14A-C) and Fruit/Spice/Herb/Vegetable Beer (20 & 21A).
Entries will be accepted: June 24 – July 17, 2013
Entry fee: Please submit three 12-16 oz brown or green crown capped bottles and a check or money order made for $5.00 in U.S. funds per entry.
Judging: Judging will take place on Saturday, July 20th starting at around 10:00 a.m.
Location: Fox, Alaska (a small community ~10 miles north of Fairbanks)
