Redhook Brewery Expands 22-Ounce Bottle Portfolio
Bigger is Better.

Woodinville, Wash. – Redhook believes bigger is better, especially when it comes to beer.  That’s why Redhook is launching additional beers in the 22-ounce bottle size.  Redhook Pilsner and Redhook IPA will join Redhook ESB in late August. Redhook’s Seasonal offerings, starting with Winterhook, will be available in early October.

“We’re thrilled to expand our offering of beers available in 22 ounce bottles,” said Greg Deuhs, Redhook brewmaster. “They’re great for times when you want more Redhook beer than the standard 12oz bottle, or for those occasions when you’re feeling generous and want to share with your friends.”

Now Available In 22-Ounce Bottles:

Redhook ESB: “Is, in fact, extra special. But doesn’t let it go to his head.” ESB, which stands for Extra Special Bitter, was unveiled in 1987, and has since become the benchmark for the Amber beer category. Despite having bitter in its name, ESB offers a smooth, bold flavor balanced by caramel malt sweetness and spicy, citrusy hops. Redhook ESB is brewed with three malts and four hop varietals. It has an alcohol by alcohol by volume (ABV) of 5.8 percent and 28 international bittering units (IBUs)

Redhook IPA: “Is a fan of dry-hopping, which sounds much dirtier than it is.” The generous addition of hops both during and at the end of the fermentation process (dry-hopping) gives Redhook’s India Pale Ale its characteristic bitterness and piney citrus aroma and flavor. Redhook IPA has a medium body and crisp finish. This beer has a moderate ABV of 6.5 percent and an IBU level of 44, making it one of America’s most drinkable and best-selling IPAs

Redhook Pilsner: “May not look it, but has a dark side.” Redhook Pilsner is a crisp and refreshing lager.  Brewed in a traditional Czech style, Redhook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Saaz hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Redhook Pilsner was brewed with four malts and a healthy dose of Saaz hops. The lager beer is fermented for four to six weeks before packaging. The brew has an ABV of 5.3 percent and 25 IBUs.

Redhook Seasonals: Winterhook winter seasonal will be the first seasonal in a 22 ounce bottle and, “has absolutely no interest in sitting on Santa’s lap.” The recipe changes slightly every winter because nobody likes getting the exact same holiday present year after year, especially for 27 straight years. Winterhook is dark and rich, slightly naughty, and very nice. The brew has an ABV of 6.0 percent and IBU of 45.
