ELYSIAN’S deceptive and delicious spring seasonal returns to shelves on February 1, 2012.
If you’ve visited the Elysian pubs over the years, you may have tried “The Bitch”.  While we can’t divulge the full story on the nickname of the beer, here are a few words about it from Head Brewer Dick Cantwell:

“Belgiumis full of inspiration for a beer like Bête Blanche, from strong golden ales like Duvel to the many delicious tripels, both in and out of monasteries. Crisp, estery, refreshing and a little dangerous, Bête Blanche is the perfect spring seasonal. We’ve been brewing it almost since the beginning, back when the only reliably warm place for bottle conditioning was our second floor office, where a hundred or so cases sat–until bottles started exploding and we almost literally had to put together a bucket brigade to get it all downstairs and into the cold room. That really wasn’t the kind of dangerous we had in mind! ”

BÊTE BLANCHE Belgian-style Tripel is extremely drinkable, blonde and somewhat treacherous. Brewed entirely from Pale malt with Belgian candy sugar in the boil. Bittered with German Northern Brewer and finished with Styrian Goldings hops; fermented with Belgian Ale yeast.    7.4%ABV
AVAILABLE in 22oz bottles, 12oz-6 packs and Draft
