This year’s beer lineup includes more than 90 unique cask-conditioned beers by dozens of Washington breweries. While most beers are one-off or very limited releases that most guests have never tried before there is one beer that almost everyone is familiar with. Hebert’s Legendary Cask Festival Ale is a collaborative beer that’s brewed every year for the Cask Festival in honor of Bert Grant, an iconic figure in the Northwest craft beer scene who is admired by many brewers and craft beer aficionados alike. This year’s Herbert is a Scottish Ale brewed at Snipes Mountain Brewery based on Bert’s original recipe. The beer will make its debut at two release parties scheduled in Yakima and Seattle. Attendees will not only get to try the beer before anyone else but they will also have a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Cask Festival that will be raffled at each release party.
